Economic stimulus check question?

According to the last two numbers of my husbands ssn, our check will be mailed by June 27th. We are trying to plan a family vacation and we want leave July 3rd. Do you think the check will be there by then? We can't take the vacation without that money. Should we plan it for the following weekend? How long does it usually take for the checks to arrive in the mail?

i think u should be ok with your vacation. my sis mail day was the 6th she got the check on the 9 th. it was mailed from texas and we live in vegas... have fun on ur vacation... dont get too sunburnt lol

You should be OK - but there is a weekend in there when the banks won't be open.  If you can put it off a week, that may be wiser.  If you filed electronically, however, they just put the money into your bank account.

The arrival of the paper checks has been varied.  I would postpone for a week to hopefully insure the fund's arrival before your vacation.

it depends on how far you live from where the checks are being mailed from.

it generally takes some people only til the next day to get their checks once they've been mailed,like for instance my check is being mailed from austin,texas and i live in texas so mine should be about a day or two reaching me,others are getting theirs between 2-4 days so i would think you should have yours by the 3rd of july

maybe by july 1st or 2nd that tuesday or wednesday maybe,but some have waited even longer so everybody's time of receiving the checks are very unique so you never know until you actually get it how long it takes you to get it.
