  1. TAX!!!!! Al these new recycling schemes are taxing us.  They found a tiny bit of non recyclable packet and didnt collect my bin.  its a big con!!!!!!!

  2. You will find even more confiscatory tax rates as the global warming hype goes into full operation.

you will find more poverty as people are driven into bankruptcy by those taxes.

You _may_ find revolutions when people finally realize that they have been 'had' by the politicos.

A revolution will most likely result in the totalitarian fascist state that the libs have been wanting all along.

  3. Water lvl rising.

  4. economical??????????

wild weather lost or accident of ships and loss of money.

  5. Coastal flooding.

People will have to be moved, and permanent structures will be lost.

Amy - the AREA of ice has grown, but the VOLUME of ice is still at historic lows.  In winter ice on the surface naturally grows.  Since it melted back so far, it has a lot of room to do that.  But it doesn't replace the deep layer of ice that's been lost to global warming.

  6. Negative effects?  Most credible research I've seen (ie. not done by political shills like Al Gore) suggest economies will do better if the climate is in fact warming for the long term.  People are more likely to come out of their homes which means they're more likely to buy things.  Consider, as well, how many people say they're going to take a vacation to Alaska or Siberia.  Now, how many have said they're going to Florida?  Also, crops can be grown and harvested longer in warmer weather.

So, assuming this sham known as global warming is real, it seems it will make economies stronger.  Makes you want to run your engine for no reason, doesn't it?

  7. Climate change is not only an environmental issue; it has clear economic and social consequences. It is inextricably linked to the broader sustainable development agenda, including the challenge of poverty reduction. The effects of climate change will have a disproportionately severe impact on the poorest and most vulnerable of the world’s communities, and they threaten to put the Millennium Development Goals beyond reach unless action is taken now. But the links between climate change and development are not limited to adaptation. A long-term solution to the climate change problem is also needed — one that is fair, sustainable and based on developing countries’ right to grow their economies.

  8. By imposing ridiculous policies and causing some countries (US taxpayers) to virtually foot the bill for the Kyoto protocol.

According to recent reports from the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) that reveal that almost all the allegedly “lost” ice has come back. A NOAA report shows that ice levels which had shrunk from 5 million square miles in January 2007 to just 1.5 million square miles in October, are almost back to their original levels.

Scientists are saying the northern Hemisphere has endured its coldest winter in decades, adding that snow cover across the area is at its greatest since 1966. The newspaper cites the one exception — Western Europe, which had, until the weekend when temperatures plunged to as low as -10 C in some places, been basking in unseasonably warm weather.

If global warming gets any worse we'll all freeze to death.

  9. How about all the money the government spends on trying to combat something they have no control over?

  10. Well I would imagine the destruction of huge cities due to coastal flooding and severe weather would cost a c**p load of money....  say in the hundred billions??  *cough* Katrina *cough* (actually was 10s of billions).
