Economics report..is there a big difference in the cost of living and wages in northern vs southern england?

tried looking at every website,and not including london because thats obviously extremely expensive.and nothing answers the cost of living in the north like sheffield and leeds

  1. This one is a very interesting question. The cost of living depends mainly on how development has reached the south and the nothern of the United Kingdom throughout history. In Scotland for instance, we can find a lot of industries and high developed cities. The gap between North and South, in general has got clear origins: lack of stability and communications, bad ownership structure or locations situated far from natural resources or industrilized areas.
