We would like to know about the economy in Ontario, especially in the Niagara Regions cities such as: St.Catharines,Thorold,Niagara Falls and Welland. Are there many Nail Salons and how are they doing in the winter time when it's very cold and snow alot in Ontario as a whole and Canadians usually went down to such places as Myrtle Beach, South Carolina that where we live now, but we are going into Canada next year and my wife is a Licensed Nail Technician for 2 years and hope to continue working as Nail Tech when we get there and hope to open a Nail Salon someday. We are looking at Welland with a population of more than 50,ooo people and the living cost in Welland is a bit cheaper than St.Catharines,Thorold and Niagara Falls in terms of renting a 2

bedrooms Apartment,am I correct? But there might not have buses running in Welland like Niagara Falls and St.Catharines,is it correct? Thanks for any deep input and details about the Niagra Regions especially on Welland if you can provide us.

  1. There are a number of nail salons in all of the cities you mention.  Even though  it gets cold and sometimes even snows in Ontario, it doesn't stop women from having their nails done.

this is the link for welland transit  http://www.welland.ca/transit/ so they do have city busses and also transit to St. Catharines and Niagara Falls.  The same link has info about business and living in Welland.

My suggestion would be for you and your wife to take a vacation and come on up to look for yourself.  The Niagara area has had some bad economic things happen with some plant closures and stuff like that.

But you should come and see for yourself.....
