Why are they calling it a BUYERS MARKET? Does it exsist because of poor policy or the lack of strong leadership?

  1. It's a buyers market for the wealthy because everything is so cheap.

  2.     It is considered a buyers market because home values and the prices of some goods currently are substantially below their previous market values.  Economic cycles occur for many reasons and it is impossible to formulate a linear relationship with one variable.

  3. bc of the poor policy

  4. They are calling it a buyers market b/c there is more supply than demand.  For instance, in the housing market, there are more houses for sale than there are buyers.  This makes the sellers, in effect, compete for buyers - either by offering better incentives, helping with closing costs, or lowering their prices.  This puts the buyers in more of a power position - with them having more of the options and getting to choose what they want and set their own terms - hence the phrase "buyer's market".
