In america you can't.  MDMA is not a legal substance in most countries and theoretically all ecstasy should be the same, except perhaps in dose.  This is rarely the case as producers generally don't care much about your health.  Much of the ecstasy in america is produced in poor labs and often contains a number of unintentional chemicals (created by the reactions required to make MDMA) which the chemists are either too lazy or too cheap to purify out.  Also, a very large portion of labs intentionally add things like heroin, cocaine, DXM, and other such drugs to 'improve' the high.  

Pure ecstasy, pharmaceutical grade ecstasy (which has been made and tested in US labs) contains nothing but methlynedioxymethamphetamine and some innert binders to help it maintain a pill form.  95+% of what you can find in a club, from a friend, or on the street is going to be 'dirty' and you will have no idea what is in it.  If you do find a place that writes reviews, they will be outdated within days as even the more professional makers of illicit substances have quality variation from batch to batch and can become contaminated accidentally or intentionally (you think someone with $250k in E is going to toss it because a chemist measured something wrong?  If you do you're an idiot.)  Also, when a 'type' or brand name catches on many dealers will simply lie and say it is something that it's not.  Even your good friend might tell you it's something great when it's trash because all he knows is what the guy who sold it to him told him.  Lastly, the 'types' change all the time as people get busted, change their formula, contaminate a batch, or change location.

there is no way to do that. you may get ecstasy pills that are blue dolphins from somebody and they effect you in one way. but u could go to somebody else you has the same press for pills and have the same print, but effect you completely different. ecstasy pills are not really that easy to research. now the drug MDMA is researchable. my favorite research site is erowid.com.  you can find information on any drug you could possibly think of on there. hope i was helpful.
