  1. the hcg levels from your pregnancy take a while to go away. i think you should wait a bit more before getting your hopes too high. i don't want to sound negative - and i don't want to say congratulations - and then you get your period and you feel bad and depressed. talk to your doctor about it - in any case, i wish you good luck.

It took me weeks after my first ectopic (7 years ago in my left tube) for the hcg level to go down to nothing.  I had my second ectopic with removal of my right tube on Aug 6th---two days before yours.  They aren't monitoring my hcg levels this time because they took the whole tube, but I do know it takes a while.  I still feel odd and hormonal too.  

    It depends too on how far along you were and how high the hcg level was when you had the surgery.

  4. It could be that your hormones have not returned to normal yet giving you a false positive.  If you are concerned call your doctor.
