both of them will get off scott free! they are AFL players and they play for collingwood,everybody knows football players are untouchable,collingwood has a poor culture at the club of "she'll be right mate",oh sure eddie and malthouse will sound tough and serious but we are kidding ourselves if we think they will be held accountable for their actions.if it was one of us in the public we would be screwed

They have now got no choice but to suspend these two players and the team and supporters should expect nothing less. How can these two be trusted? They have lied to the police and the club and now must have a rest and know that their actions may contribute to the demise of the Collingwood team for 2008. I think Mr Didak may have played his last game for the Pies and it will be interesting to see if he gets picked up by anyone else, given his history.

EDIT: So you think that a player breaking the law, then lying to his employer and fellow employees is acceptable behaviour? Interesting. I can only hope that whatever position you hold in the general community, you are not passing that line of thinking on to anyone....(Oh, and by the way, I am not on any bandwagons - popular or otherwise - I am perfectly capable of coming to my own conclusions to these questions and hey, you have your opinion and I'll have mine and we'll just have to agree to disagree on the topic of lawful/unlawful behaviour. I have judeged this purely on the simple fact that he broke the law, he lied to everyone. SIMPLE AS THAT. And I am not anti Collingwood.

How about sack the both of them immediately and try to sign up Cousins and Barry Hall for next year.  By the way I hope the Pies can get up and beat the Saints at the weekend.  Hey maybe keep the 2 boys for this game and then sack them.

Eddie must remember that there are tens of thousands of supporters who love these two players, and would want them to continue to play for the club. Forget the media feeding frenzy, these people do not support the Magpies and their main intent is to sensationalise and cut down the tall poppies. Eddie, Malthouse, and the two players.

Didak and Heath out for the season, Rhyce Shaw out for two games. Why would they lie? At the moment I'm ashamed to be a Collingwood supporter. This is so disappointing.

I will always be a loyal Collingwood supporter, and would love these players to be playing from an on field perspective, but they deserve their suspension. I don't think they will gte sacked at the end of the year though.
