Australia’s Eddie Hung, a representative of Western Australia (WA), showed a wonderful performance on court and he managed to outplay Ishan Sembapperruma from Queensland Titans (Qld) in Men’s Singles clash at the 2012 Ede Clendinnen Shield Sydney in Australia,
on Tuesday, August 28.
The impressive Eddie, who has been working hard for the last few months to elevate his skills, played tremendous game in the contest and he easily punched Ishan in a completely dominating fashion.
The in-form Eddie played in a commanding manner throughout the contest as he showed no respect to his rival and remained successful in finishing it up in straight sets with a staggering score on the board.
On the other hand, Ishan could not live up to expectations as he remained unable to play attacking badminton and eventually knelt down to Eddie without snatching even a single set.
The opening game was interesting when both shuttlers showed their impressive skills in starting rallies.
However, Eddie took over the control of affairs by accelerating his speed in all areas and started to create pressure on his opponent.
Ishan, on the other hand, failed to tackle with the mounting pressure in the opening game and remained struggling until the one-minute break.
After the mid-game interval, Eddie continued putting up staggering show on court as he did not commit unforced errors and remained successful in maintaining his upper hand in the game.
The spirited Eddie played with precision and confidence and eventually remained successful in winding up the opening game with a superb 21-13 margin on the score board.
In the following set, Ishan tried to show his brilliance by executing powerful smashes but failed to find gaps and remained struggling.
In the meanwhile, Eddie continued playing positive and dominating badminton and managed to create a wonderful gap until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute interval, Eddie did not show any sign of sluggishness at any stage and ultimately ended up the set with a huge difference of 21-13.
The passionate Eddie emerged as the winner in this Men’s Singles encounter with a superb 21-13 and 21-13 score on the board.
