Michelle Tam, a talented shuttler from NSW Lightning, showed her lofty craft on court in Women’s Singles showdown as she crushed South Australia’s Su Ching Ong at the 2012 Ede Clendinnen Shield Sydney on Tuesday, August 28, in Australia.
The determined Michelle, who showed a tremendous performance all the way in the tournament, remained quite consistent and aggressive while playing against Su Ching and remained successful in beating her with a superb difference.
The in-form Michelle played with impressive control in her shots and she showed a superb performance throughout the battle and overpowered Su Ching in straight games while consuming just 20 minutes on court.
Su Ching, in the meanwhile, found herself completely helpless as she failed to match the speed and power of her rival and also remained unable to put up strong resistance at any stage. She easily went down to Michelle easily in straight games without proving her worth.
In the first game, Michelle put up wonderful show by putting up strong performance from opening rallies and stayed ahead of her rival on score board at the starting rallies.
The spirited Michelle was in full swing on court as she played with precision and created pressure on her rival by taking an incredible lead until the one-minute break.
After the mid-game interval, Michelle remained composed and confident on court as she did not lose her focus and maintained her strong position until the ending stage.
The impressive Michelle employed her impressive craft on court and remained successful in taking the opening set with a huge difference of 21-12.
In the second set, Michelle did not slow down her speed and continued playing positive badminton which helped her to grab a wonderful lead until the mid-game break.
After taking rest for 60 seconds, Michelle showed no respect to her challenger as she played attacking badminton and her smashed landed in right areas.
The spirited Michelle was in tremendous form while playing against Su Ching and she won the set with a remarkable margin of 21-13.
Michelle emerged as the winner against Su Ching in straight sets with a smashing 21-12 and 21-13 score on the board.
