Ede Clendinnen Shield Sydney: Seng Low proves too strong for Andrew Harvey in Men’s Singles fight
Seng Low, who is a representative of NSW Lightning, registered his superiority on court as he played with courage and overpowered South Australia’s Andrew Harvey in Men’s Singles fight at the 2012 Ede Clendinnen Shield Sydney in Australia, on Tuesday, August 28.
Seng was impressive in his performance throughout the tournament as he played with wonderful confidence and remained consistent in his winning run by beating his rival Andrew in a sensational fashion.
The in-form Seng was on a different level as he played in a controlled and positive manner in the battle and eventually knocked down his rival in straight sets by taking just 20 minutes on court.
The confused Andrew could not put up strong resistance in the first game but he showing a wonderful performance in the following set but remained unlucky in finishing points and lost the match without bagging any set in the clash.
Opening set of this Men’s Singles battle was one-sided as Seng crushed his rival by putting up strong show of attacking badminton and took no time in setting up a wonderful lead at the early stage.
The in-form Seng was in tremendous position while playing on court he showed no mercy to his rival and remained successful in establishing a phenomenal lead until the end of opening half.
After the one-minute break, Seng continued in the similar fashion as he did not allow his opponent to play better badminton to narrow the gap on score board.
Seng was in commanding position and eventually ended the opening set in a dominating fashion by a lopsided 21-6 score on the board.
However, it was a different situation in the following set as the crowd could not have asked for better fight because both shuttlers played attacking and positive badminton and remained close until the break.
After the mid-game interval, they continued putting up wonderful show and the score reached at 20-20 when Seng played a few impressive shots and took the set with a close score of 22-20.
Seng won this straight-set entertaining fight in just 20 minutes by putting up a 21-6 and 22-20 score on the board.
