The new http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Eden-Hazard-c11863 has denied talks that he is using social media outlets such as Twitter for selfish reasons.
Instead, the 21-year-old former Lille playmaker claimed he used Twitter to keep in touch with his fans. Hazard was involved in an exaggerated transfer saga, which was fuelled by his constant updates on Twitter regarding his future and which club he would
join.
Hazard initially narrowed down his decision to Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea. He had apparently agreed to terms with all three sides, but had not decided where he wanted to play next season. It was on Twitter that he revealed he had decided
to join Chelsea.
The reason for his decision to choose the London club over either of the Manchester sides is the fact that the Blues won the UEFA Champions League in the 2011-2012 season. In addition to that, Hazard believes the Blues will prove to be a better side for
him.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Belgium-c2850 international revealed his main reason for maintaining a Twitter account was so that the fans could keep in touch with him. He felt the social media tool had become a big part of his life, especially since he had used the internet to follow his
football idols when he was younger.
Hazard said in an interview:
“As a boy I followed my idols on the internet. It is wonderful to be able to do that. And now Twitter is part of life. You have to make it work for you.
Perhaps social media will be completely obsolete in two years. You must move with the times.”
He continued:
“The fans are happy that they can keep up to date with me.”
Hazard has joined the Blues on a transfer fee rumoured to be 32 million pounds from Ligue 1 side Lille. Since making his senior debut for the French side in 2007, Hazard has made a total of 192 appearances in all competitions, with 50 goals and 38 assists.
If the Belgian youngster retains his form then there is no doubt that he will be an instant hit in the English Premier League with the London side.
