Belgian international, Eden Hazard has expressed his desire to leave Ligue 1 champions LOSC Lille by the end of the current 2011/2012 Ligue 1 campaign.
The youngster’s desire to change scenery does not comes as a surprise as Lille were anticipating his departure and have already started their preparations for the 20-year-old’s departure in the next summer’s transfer window.
Eager to leave the Ligue 1 by next summer, Hazard is also fully aware of the ever growing interest of Paris Saint-Germain in his services.
The leaders at LOSC Lille must not have been entirely pleased when they had opened the first page of L’Equipe in which their talismanic playmaker had made the front page. However the news related to Hazard was not due to his rather dull and ineffective performance
against Valenciennes. In an interview with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899’s biggest sports daily, the Belgian spoke about his desires and ambitions.
Though Hazard did not cite any names, he certainly confirmed already-known news that he will most certainly be leaving Villeneuve D’Ascq by the end of the 2011/2012 Ligue 1 season.
While talking to the media, the highly-talented playmaker said that he is not looking to leave the club in the upcoming winter transfer window mainly because if he joins a club that’s already playing in the Champions League, he will not be eligible to play
in the competition as he already has played for Lille in the competition.
However, the youngster also pointed out that he will never leave the club for a French club. “I would want to leave France. I do not want to build Lille’s rival club. it would be wrong. People would never understand and I still have a lot of beautiful things
after living and growing at this club.”
Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain have already made initial contact with Hazard. However, Hazard is not dazed by it. The youngster says that he is astonished to see such a hefty price tag put on him (PSG are reportedly mounting a 50 million Euros
offer).
“It (PSG) is a great club and has a very nice atmosphere. But Paris is not for now. After France I want to go abroad. But I’m only 20 and I do not know about the future,” the youngster said thus ending all speculation of a winter move to PSG yet keeping
the door ajar for the cash-laden outfit at the same time.
