After weeks of suspense, during which time he was linked with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea, Hazard announced he would be signing with Chelsea. The youngster posted on his official twitter account,
“I’m signing for the Champions League winner.”

Vermaelen said in an interview:
“He is a great player with a lot of special qualities. I think he is a player people go to the stadiums for. People will love him and love watching him playing football, so I think he is a good player for the Premier League.”
Meanwhile Fulham second striker Moussa Dembele felt Hazard’s style of play would best suit the English Premier League. Dembele predicted Hazard to be successful in the what he considered to be the best competition in the world.
Dembele revealed:
“He has quality that not a lot of other players have and I think in every competition he goes, he will play very well - including the Premier League, even if it is the best competition in the world.”
Last but not least, Simon Mignolet, the Sunderland goalkeeper, was a little more skeptical. He felt that while Hazard had the quality to succeed in the English Premier League, he would have to work hard after making the move from Lille to Chelsea.
Mignolet said:
