Open Water.
Kaleem Shah, the owner of Eden’s Moon, will earn his career’s first Grade 1 win, if Eden’s Moon is able to outclass Reneesgotzip at Santa Anita Park.
Reneesgotzip, daughter of City Zip, out of No Dress Code, will be racing today, after over a month, but, the 3-year-old filly is in outstanding shape, and her trainer, Peter Miller, has high hopes for her, confident that she will cross the
wire first.
Owned by the Lanni Family Trust, she finished in 1st place in the Grade 2 Santa Ynez Stakes, at Santa Anita, on 15th January, 2012. She defeated Made To Love Her by 7 ¾ lengths.
Your Special Day, daughter of Kafwain, out of Young Ladies Day, finished last in her previous race. Owned and trained by James Cassidy, it is expected that the 3-year-old filly will perform well in this race.
She finished in last in the California Oaks, which were held at Golden Gate Fields, on 22nd January, 2012.
Charm The Maker, daughter of Empire Maker, out of Charm The Giant, finishedas a runner-up in the closing race of 2011.
She was defeated by Killer Graces by ½ length, in the Grade 1 Hollywood Starlet Stakes, which took place at Hollywood Park, on 11th December, 2011.
Ronald McAnally, her trainer, was not pleased with her 4th place finish in the Grade 3 Santa Ysabel Stakes, in Santa Anita, on 28th January, 2012.
Killer Graces, daughter of Congaree, out of Heatherdoesntbluff, has been in terrific form, much to the satisfaction of her trainer, Jerry Hollendorfer.
She finished as a runner-up in the aforementioned race, as she was defeated by Willa B Awesome by 3 ½ lengths.
Eden’s Moon, who is entering as the second hot prospect with 5/2 odds, seems to be a serious threat to other competitors.
The 3-year-old filly is the daughter of Malibu Moon, out of Eden’s Causeway, trained by Bob Baffert.
Her rich pedigree, including the likes of Malibu Moon, Eden’s Causeway, Giant Causeway and A. P. Indy, will certainly attract bettors to put their faith in the newbie, going for her maiden stakes as the third race of her career.
Still it would be highly anticipated, and likewise, we advise to bet on the right horse, Eden’s Moon, since she is likely to live up to her ancestors’ name.
The event at Santa Anita is highly anticipated among the followers of horse racing events. The line-up consists of the best runners in the game, trained by highly renowned names.
It is difficult to predict who will win this race but Eden’s Moon looks strong enough to bag the victory and create an upset for Reneesgotzip.
Reneesgotzip may secure a first or second place. Though the 6/5 race favourite is most likely to win, it seems as if Eden’s Moon would pose a serious threat to her hopes of winning, thus, making it more likely for the filly to end up as
the runner-up.
The third position is anyone’s game since all the runners are well capable and possess the skills to grab a placed finish.
