Brazilian midfielder, Ederson has said that he will definitely leave http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Olympique-Lyonnais-c40130 at the end of the season and has also revealed that he has already chosen the club he will play for next season
“Right now, we are far from reaching an agreement for an extension and I feel that the coach has decided not to do anything about it. This situation makes me angry because we do not accept blackmail.”
Recently asked about the slow pace of negotiations between Olympique Lyonnais and Ederson, the Brazilian’s agent, Antonio Caliendo said those words.
And obviously, the situation has turned to a point of no return according to L’Equipe. The French sports daily announces that the former OGC Nice man, who will be out of contract next June has already agreed to a move to Italian Serie A side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 this summer.
The details of the proposed contract to the player by the Transalpine side are not known but one thing is certain – Ederson should be able to earn at least more that the 250,000 Euros he earns at Lyon every month.
If the 26-year-old is preparing to join the Italians who could play in the UEFA Champions League next season, Lyon on the other hand could be seeing a player walk away for free. Certainly, the future departure of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ederson-c11880 would lighten the wage bill but Lyon
would recover 0 Euro for a player who has cost them around 14 million Euros during his stay at the club.
All in all, it can be safe to say that Ederson will add to the long list of expensive players who went for nothing.
Ederson joined Les Gones in the January transfer window of 2008 from OGC Nice. At Nice, the Brazilian was considered as one of the best attacking midfielders in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/France-c2899. However, the midfielder’s arrival at Lyon was never really a successful one as the Rhone
giants failed to win a single trophy.
Lyon paid Nice 14 million Euros for the player and now, Ederson is about to walk away for free. Contract negotiations were slow from Lyon’s side and the hierarchy should have been flexible in their approach in order to avoid seeing the player walk away from
the club for free.
