what does this mean, " A wrong is unredressed when retribution overtakes it's redresser."

what is Luchresi'd role in the story?

where had the stone and mortar used by montressor to walll up the entrance to the niche been hidden?

  1. i think the answer to your first question is that if you have been wronged and you try to make it right but you go too far (the punishment doesn't fit the crime) then you haven't really made things right at all.  you've just made another wrong.
