Edinburgh restaurants?

i'm trying to organise a birthday night out. can anyone recommend a good quality restaurant that we could go for a meal that is BYOB?? all the ones i can think of are dumps..(not Kushis though, was there 2 weeks ago)

  2. There's a terrific chinese called the rendevoux inn, somewere beside prince street.

    Food was extraordinary, best chinese ever!!

    I forgot the exact location, but maybe you should try type rendevoux inn on google maps.

  3. The best reasonable place to eat in Edinburgh by far is at The French Institute (next to the French Consulate) Don't take a bottle in there, they will be offended, and it's all subsidized by the French Government anyway. A delightful garden cafe, French Chef, and rely on their choice of wine.
