  1. Yeh...agree with the previous person...bit of a climb at times...so if you're with kids in a buggy..might be a challenge. But not too expensive I vaguely remember 8 pounds for an adult, but I could be wrong...and it was some time ago. I think it's really nice, especially the penguins are nice, with the penguin parade..if they're inclined to get out of course;) Worth a visit I think.

  2. It was several years ago I took my children, we all loved it the zoo is well spaced out with good sized enclosures for the animals.

They held close encounters session for an extra few pounds where a couple of keepers show a selection of animals to a small group up close and the children get a chance to touch the animals,  this was magic and my children really loved it.

A splendid way to spend a day.

  3. Prices as per previous answer.  Its built on a hill so can be a hike.  There's a "hilltop safari" Land Rover and trailer.  Take that from just outside the entrance to the top of the hill, then work your way down.  Pretty good overall, not always easy to see the animals especially the big cats - Tiger exhibit is good, as is the new Koala house and the bird house (Rainbow landings) - you go in and they fly round and land on you.  You can also feed them.  Check when there are talks at the new Chimp House (Budongo) and the Education Centre - these can be really good.  Worth catching the penguin parade and talk.  Monkey House is a bit tired, but that is next for upgrade.

Take a picnic as there is space to sit in front of the house, and food can be expensive.  If you've got kids, there's a soft play area in one of the cafes.

  4. the whole thing is up hill.... as soon as u pay, u walk out the door, up the stairs and then u continue ur climb.....

its not expensive..... about £80 for a family ticket

  5. the zoo is quite good yeah, it is up a hill but that even gives you a nice view from the top, there is alot to see like tigers and penguins etc.
