Chelsea are reportedly in the lead to sign the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Uruguay-c3035 international in the winter, after he helped knock the Premier League leaders out of the UEFA Champions League. The Blues boss Andre Villas-Boas has a reported £150 million available to him for transfers.
The Portuguese manager could use some of that money to sign the 24-year-old Copa http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/America-c38390 winner since his side are in dire need of reinforcements with some of the key players expected to leave for the African Cup of Nations. The player’s agent claimed that
his client was happy with Napoli and any decision depended entirely upon the club.
He said while speaking to reporters:
“It is a problem that concerns Napoli, but not us.
These rumours are pleasing, but rumours are part of the game and the world of football. I think about the serious things and not the rumours. Cavani said that he is good at Napoli and so there is no reason to worry, because he has no problem to stay
in Naples.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea winger Florent Malouda claimed he was unhappy with the lack of first team opportunities at Chelsea under Andre Villas-Boas because of which he could consider a move away. He revealed he was currently thinking of a move away.
Malouda said in an interview:
“My playing time is not enough to satisfy me. It is too little for the ambitions I have. I cannot be happy with that. If it is necessary, I will leave.”
As for where he was headed, Malouda rejected rumours that he was on his way to Anzhi Makhachkala. The Russian side are reportedly interested in signing the Frenchman, but he claimed he was not aware of their interest and did not want to sign for them.
He continued:
“I couldn't even manage to pronounce the name of this team. I don't know from where these rumours come, when they don't have any base in reality.”
