The Napoli chief has revealed that the Azzurri have little chance of signing Federico Balzaretti due to the player’s inclination towards Paris and Palermo.
Aurelio De Laurentiis has slapped an impossible price tag of €100 million (£78m) for Manchester City, if they want to sign http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955 in the summer transfer window.
The Uruguayan’s future at Napoli was put into doubt after a statement by the club President, in which he angrily stated that he would rather see the player rot on bench, than give him the astronomical pay raise that was being demanded.
However, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003 chief has sidelined all speculations suggesting an exit, and has made it clear that the interested parties like Manchester City and Juventus will have to shed a world record of transfer money in order to acquire the services of the prolific
striker.
De Laurentiis reiterated his position on selling Cavani in the summer transfer window, and stressed that he may let him go for a sum of €100 million.
The Azzurri patron admitted that the figure did not represent the striker’s actual value, but maintained that the sum represents how highly the player is valued by the club.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, the Italian film producer said:
"Cavani is not for sale, but we could let him go for €100m. This is not his actual value, but his value to me and he won't leave for less."
De Laurentiis went on to reveal that there are two hurdles in signing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Federico-Balzaretti-c13451, one is the player’s agent and second his willingness to move to Paris to join his wife and child.
The Partenopei chief stated that the defender favours a move to Paris Saint-Germain, but maintained that the French giants cannot buy every player that is out there on the market.
"There are two problems outside of Palermo. First, his agent is never clear and sincere, but, above all, his child and his wife, who works in Paris. He was clear that he wants either Palermo or Paris Saint-Germain and I respect his reasoning. If he wants
to come, we will welcome him with open arms. If he doesn't, we will bring in a youngster. PSG cannot go around signing everyone." He added.
