The Partenopei striker insists that he wants to be a part of Uruguay’s bid for football gold medal, and warns that he will agitate if Napoli try to stop him.
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edinson-Cavani-c11955 has voiced his overwhelming desire to join Uruguay’s quest for gold in the 2012 London Olympics, and insists that he will not accept a ‘no’ from Napoli.
The Olympic frenzy is set to start in England’s capital on July 27, 2012, and the South-Americans are among the favourites to win the football gold medal.
Cavani insisted that he covets to join his team in London, and insisted that he will stop at nothing to make it happen.
The Azzurri striker stated that he has already spoken to Napoli authorities on the matter, and has made his intention clear. The aggressor stated that he is ready to fight for the medal with his national team, and stressed that
he will not accept a refusal from the Partenopei authorities.
While talking to the press, the 25-year-old said:
“I want to go to the Olympics. I will not accept a ‘no’ from Napoli. I’ve already spoken to them about it and made it clear I want to play for my country. I’m ready to battle for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Uruguay-c3035 if they need me.”
Cavani went on to express his overwhelming desire for the trip to London, warning that he will even resort to disturbance, if his club tries to stop him.
The Uruguayan national stated that if Napoli do not allow him to play in the Olympics, he will first move back to Italy to cause a lot of nuisance, and eventually travel to the English capital anyway.
“If http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926, cause unimaginable trouble and then I’ll go to London anyway.”
The Olympic season will end on August 12, and that is the time Napoli will be going through their pre-season preparations. This overlapping of schedules has raised a conflict of interest between Cavani and Napoli, which is headed
by a stout President De Laurentiis.
The Azzurri ace has scored 23 goals in the 35 league appearances for the Partenopei, this season.
