The Azzurri striker has stated that his wife’s mugging was a difficult time for him, but maintains that his family is regaining tranquillity with the passage of time.
Edinson Cavani has stated that mugging incidents can happen at any place in the world, but maintained that he would have left Napoli right away if the attempt at his wife would have come from his fans.
The Partenopei striker’s wife was mugged of her expensive watch near the Stadio San Paolo area, making headlines all over about the alarming crime rate in the city of Naples.
Moreover, the theft also boosted the speculation surrounding the Azzurri attacker’s move away from the Naples outfit, as the incident happen shortly after the player’s demand for better wages from his club were snubbed by President Aurelio De Laurentiis.
