The Partenopei player’s representative has admitted that it is ‘not a good time’ after the striker’s wife was mugged in Naples, amidst rumours that the star is considering a move away from the club.
Edinson Cavani’s representative has voiced his unrest after his client’s wife was robbed in the city of Naples, at a time when the player is already considering a move away from Napoli.
Soledad Cavani was strolling towards her car near the Stadio San Paolo area, when she was robbed of her watch worth €18,000 by two men.
The Partenopei attacker is already in contentious negotiations with his club for an improved contract, and President Aurelio De Laurentiis had recently slammed the striker publicly for asking too high a wage, leading to speculation that the star could consider
a move away from the outfit.
Cavani’s agent admitted that it is a tough time for his client and his wife, but maintained that Soledad is a strong person and will overcome the sad incident soon.
The Azzurri striker’s representative insisted that the city of Naples has always shown a generous amount of affection and love to its people, and maintained that it is only a handful of people that soil the reputation of an otherwise wonderful city.
While talking to Radio CRC, agent Claudio Anellucci said:
“It is not a good time. It will take a few days to overcome this obstacle, but Sole is a strong person. She just left and will reach Cavani in London. Naples has always shown us great affection, but when these things happen you do face terrible moments.”

Anellucci concluded by stating that such events can happen anywhere, but maintained that the fact that they happen too often in Naples is ruining the image of the city.
