When I go to edit a track in Yahoo Musicmatch Plus, there are three "custom" entries i.e., 1, 2, & 3. I would like to rename the three "customs" with my own titles. How can I do this?

  1. Don't think you can do it Dude.  Yahoo! Music Jukebox is a pretty simple application.  It doesn't allow you to create toolbars or move buttons around and the edit box (really called an Active X control from a programming standpoint) is primitive.  Sorry Dude.

  2. You can't - plain and simple!

The MusicMatch people really screwed its lifetime supported users who absolutely loved MusicMatch Jukebox Plus.

Moving to Yahoo! Music Jukebox was a severe DOWNGRADE for MusicMatch Jukebox Plus users. The Yahoo! Music Jukebox program is so hobbled and cut off at the knees that I am surprised the Musicmatch people sold out - actually I am not surprised - Yahoo! probably offered them so much money that their greedy little minds couldn't see the big picture - that MusicMatch was a BIG threat to Yahoo! because it offered the best ever music service and Yahoo! just had to own it, of course.

So now we simply have to play the waiting game with Yahoo! and continue to put pressure on them to make Yahoo! Music Jukebox every bit as good as (and hopefully a lot better than) MusicMatch Jukebox Plus version 10 became.

The Three Custom Fields in the file tags is one example where such a change could improve on MusicMatch - allow (within Preferences) "Custom 1" etc. to be replaced by our own personal field titles.
