well i read the book and im supposed to write a 500 work essay about:

3 myths that i feel r the most important and/or most referenced in our culture

how r the myths and their characters a part of our culture, our values, our social system?

how and when do u see their characters and lessons reflected in our culture?

ok so im not asking somebody to write the essay i just need help and i cant really understand this

by the way i had to read part 1,4,and five(but not The Royal House of Athens in part 5)

so can somebody explain this and give me an example of a myth that fits the above questions?

ok so i decided on 2 myths that i will use,the trojan horse and the fall of troy

but i was wondering if The Adventures of Odysseus would also be a good one to use as it shows a man who is going to problems that we might be able to relate to

  1. Keep in mind that Edith Hamilton includes more condensed versions of Homer's epic poems The Iliad and the Odyssey. The trojan horse and the fall of Troy are actually from The Iliad. The Odyssey is the story of Odysseus voyage home after the Trojan War.

Are these three good choices out of Hamilton's book? Personally, absolutely.
