The former Brazilian star defender believes that even though Josep Guardiola has left the team, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 are going to be the same under their new head coach, Tito Vilanova.
Last season Barcelona lost the Spanish La Liga title to their arch rivals, Real Madrid, as Jose Mourinho was finally able to break Barcelona’s dominance in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Spain-c3011.
Since the Catalan giants surrendered both the trophies they won last season, La Liga and the Champions League, Josep Guardiola decided to leave the club and take a break from football.
Guardiola was considered to be the best coach in the history of Barcelona, but with him gone, Tito Vilanova was assigned by the management to take charge of the Catalan club.
While many believe that it is going to be hard for Tito Vilanova to continue on the path of success set by Josep Guardiola, former Barcelona player, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Edmilson-c11976, thinks otherwise.
The former Brazilian defender believes that Barcelona are going to be the same under Vilanova as they used to be under Josep Guardiola. In fact, Edmilson said that the Catalan giants might just be stronger than what they were when they played under Josep
Guardiola.
While speaking about Barcelona’s football philosophy and Tito Vilanova’s appointment as head coach, Edmilson said:
"I think that the Club's philosophy comes from a way back, since the time of Cruyff and they have always shown that by playing great football. I have never seen a team play as well as they did under Guardiola, with all that possession, so many goals and
such quality," Edmilson shared with the club's official website.
'Maybe it will be a bit harder now, but Tito has been working with these players for a while now and he knows their mentality, knows them well. The work philosophy will be the same and Barca will still be Barca, just as strong as in the last few years."
Barcelona will kick start their upcoming season next month as they take on Real Sociedad in their first La Liga fixture.
The Spanish giants are not the favourites to win the Spanish La Liga titles this season, as Vilanova is not really expected to shine as much as Josep Guardiola.
