Edmonton Oil Kings of WHL renew their media partnership Team 1260, Edmonton Sports Radio

The Western Hockey League team, Edmonton Oil Kings have extended their media partnership with Team 1260, Edmonton Sports, their official radio partners. Team 1260 will telecast all the Edmonton Oil King matches live during 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 season.
Edmonton Oil Kings’ alternate governor, Darryl Porter was very happy to announce the deal. In his opinion, the excellent coverage of 1260 Team will provide a great opportunity for Oil Kings to gain popularity and promote the game.
"We are very proud to once again call Team 1260 home. Aside from a top rate broadcast, the Team 1260 and their variety of shows and hosts continue to be an asset for us in gaining media coverage for our brand and junior hockey in the City of Champions."
Radio channels are obviously very much followed by everyone, especially the children and the kids who are growing up and can develop a great sense of interest for the game. This can also lead to promotion of the game because when the game would be played
more, there would be more competition and when more children will take up ice hockey as profession, the quality of the game will naturally improve.
The Bear Brand director of Team 1260 and 100.3 was also very happy to extend the deal with Edmonton Oil Kings. He was excited and in his opinion it would be good for his radio channel that they would be broadcasting the matches of Ice Hockey team, as he
said,
“We are very excited to extend our partnership with the Oil Kings for the next two years bringing a really exciting brand of hockey to the Edmonton airwaves.”
Darryl Porter was also happy because of the fact that now their fans, supporters and followers would be able to enjoy a great coverage of the matches, which he thinks that they fully deserve, as he added,
“It’s a top quality broadcast on the leading sports station in Edmonton. Our fans deserve nothing less.”
Edmonton Oil Kings are also coming after a great last season in which they won Ed Chynoweth Cup, which was their first title in the history of the championship.
