  1. Its really hard to compare the 2, they are not even close to the same. Ive lived in both and I would have to say, Edmonton has absolutely nothing on TO except for taxes. Healthcare id say equal, edmonton has lower taxes, living costs are about the same now, jobs edmonton= blue collar ,Toronto=white and blue collar so more selection but less jobs right now. Once you know how to drive in TO and you know the major routes its easy. Edmonton on the other hand is a horrible driving city, extremely rude drivers who dont know what merge means, scary to say the least, they have by far the most accidents in the country every year. Crime rate, Edmonton is the murder capital of Canada right now sadly. Even though Toronto is five times larger than Edmonton it has way less crime/violent crimes. Toronto is known as one of the most safe large cities in North America.

Gas rate, edmonton is usually a few cents cheaper than Toronto, which isnt much considering how much more you have to drive there.

Dont get me wrong, I like both cities, but it all depends on what type of environment you prefer.

Toronto is an extremely multicultural and vibrant city. Its an urban jungle and there is something here for eveyone. Its the best place ive ever lived and Ive lived all over the country. Great restaurants, theatre, concerts, sports teams

Edmonton is a city full of cookie cutter suburbs, with a downtown that is pretty much non existent because nobody lives downtown. If your white and work in oil and gas or realestate, edmonton is probably pretty sweet. Otherwise, the advantages of living in Alberta have gone downhill with services at a standstill, ala everyone moving back to Saskatchewan.

Now for Mississauga- Its pretty much a suburb of Toronto, and a nice one at that. It is a very progressive city and it is about a half hour drive from downtown Toronto, so you get the best of both worlds. Their skyline is going to stand of soon with the addition of this gorgeous building http://teamsugar.com/group/137941/blog/1...

Its pretty much considered a part of Toronto.

    Hope I helped
