Edna st vencent millay book about eickman?

long ago i had abook by millay written about the horrors of the holocaust-small book-maybe 100 pages-it described eickman as a werewolf (i believe) loping toward something-

i think she refered to him as eickman the hangman-i have thought of it many times in the last 40 years and wonder if it is available-mine was a first addition so there may not be many-thanks for your help-carol covell
