The Doria vice-president has answered the question that is being asked to him by the Blucerchiati fans, while maintaining that anything can happen in the future.
Edoardo Garrone has voiced his reasoning on why he believes that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Antonio-Cassano-c6302’s rumoured return to Sampdoria is a far cry from reality, and has stated that it is important for the club to look ahead to new talents.
The striker was transferred to AC Milan after a row with the vice-president Riccardo Garrone, much to the disappointment of fans who adore the Italian international.
While the two have since buried their hatchet, the Samp chief has repeatedly expressed his displeasure at the rumours that continue to arise, linking the striker with a return to the Genoa outfit.
Garrone revealed that he has been repeatedly asked by the fans about the return of Cassano, and stressed that the club must look ahead towards new players rather than looking back at players that they have lost.
The Samp chief was adamant that the Rossoneri striker is satisfied with his current outfit, and is not seeking a move back to his former club.
The Doria vice-president refrained from sidelining a future move for the player back to Sampdoria, and stated that it is difficult to predict what the future might bring.
Garrone admitted that Cassano has a strong affiliation with the city of Genoa, and was of view that sooner or later the player will return to the city in one way or the other.
While talking to Sky Sport Italia, the Italian entrepreneur said:
“Sampdoria fans always ask me in the street why Cassano isn’t coming back, but I have to reply Cassano is happy where he is and we have to look ahead. Will he return next year? Anything can happen in life and I don’t feel like ruling anything out. He loves this city and set down roots here, got married and had a son, so sooner or later I’m sure he will return regardless of whether it’s with Sampdoria or not. However, Cassano is not part of our project, at least for now.” He added.
