Edson Barboza to defend his winning streak against Evan Dunham at UFC 146 – UFC news
Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is compiling an epic UFC 146 pay-per-view. According to a recent announcement, a new engagement between Edson Barboza, the Brazilian invincible, and Evan Dunham has been scheduled and finalised as the main card bout of
the fight card.
The three-round lightweight brawl will be a non-title skirmish and will take place at MGM Grand Garden Arena situated in Las Vegas, Nevada. The announcement of the bout was made by Dana White, UFC president, in a tweet. The pay-per-view is still under construction
and most probably will witness a heavyweight clash between Junior Dos Santos and Alistair Overeem.
Barboza, 26, infamous as the ‘Junior’, has been in a total 10 mixed martial art brawls and came out victorious in all. The young pounder is a knock out specialist since he has collected seven of his wins by knocking out his opponent cold.
The young Brazilian caught media’s attention by his commanding and stunning kayo win over Terry Etim. In UFC 142 pay-per-view Edson put forth his true lethalness by spinning Terry’s world with a perfectly executed spinning wheel kick to the chin. The whole
crowd got shocked and in great awe praised the man who not only collected his third consecutive fight of the night honour but also his careers first KO of the night award.
Evan Dunham, on the contrary, is a ground player and a submission tactician. He has been in a total 15 bouts and has lost just two. He has won six of his 13 brawls by submission, three by knockout, and four either by unanimous or split decision. Interestingly
Evan is also coming from a total knockout win over Nik Lentz which enabled him to secure the fight of the night award.
The brawl between both men will be epic and Barboza will even put his life on the line to protect the invincible winning streak. Edson’s main target will be a KO win over Evan since if the time passes it might be possible that Evan grabs him in any of his
unbreakable submission moves hence availing the Brazilians worn out and fatigued situation.
The event which is scheduled to stretch its octagon on May 26, 2012 will also witness a middleweight bout between Jason Miller and C. B. Dollaway.
