Let us say that while you were on your way to somewhere a stranger threw an unprovoked insult at you. What could be an educated response to this?

  1. Nothing. Just walk or drive on. There's no need to react to a petty insult. For all you know, the stranger may have a weapon or may become violent.

  2. "HAve a nice day!!" :D with a cheesy smile or middle finger.

  3. You could say, "Your mama." or "I know you are but what am I?"

  4. a fist to this stranger's jaw.

  5. Ignore, ignore, ignore.

  6. just don't show that you are angry with what you've heard and just ignore that

  7. Well, you don't want to come off uppity and front, but its important to conduct yourself with class.  Who cares what a stranger says?  People are mean.  This person is probably crazy.  Just don't be affected by their negativity and ignore.

  8. There isn't any particular "educated" response.

The mature response would be to ignore it.

  9. Walk past or the F-bomb.

  10. You could ignore it, but that can sometimes be difficult. 1 way to respond would be to kindly and calmly explain that only ignorant people choose to hurl unprovoked insults at complete strangers, and you will not sink to that level. Good luck. I hope this helps.

  11. You could come up with a dandy insult right back to them. But what if this person has a mental illness and can't help what they say? Its better to ignore the insult. Unless you know the person and they are of sound mind. Then tear them a new one. Don't forget to flip them off as a finally. lol

  12. ignore them or laugh at their stupidity.

Wish them well...God bless you is always a welcome retort.

  13. I usually dont bother with educated responses.   They dont do anything to the kinds of people who make that kind of remarks, they just continue to make fun of you.  If I am going to say something back, the point is to put them in their place good, not have them still smirking at me.

For example, i went through cancer treatment last year, lost my hair, gained a lil weight.  I was miserable, and dressed comfortable in tshirts and sweat pants most of the time.  Well, I would think just looking at me it was obvious that I was sick..   I felt and looked miserable.  But not so obvious apparently.  I got a lot of cat calls calling me a d**e and all this.  WHen I would politly tell them I was going through cancer, they laughed in my face.  So, one day, this happened, I turned around with the butchiest accent I could muster, and said 'H*ll yeah Im a d*ke, and if you give me 30 seconds to l**k that nice xxxxxx you would be too...'  THen I made a v with my fingers l*****g it....   It was wrong, I know, but the look was worth a billion dollars!

  14. An educated response wouldn't apply to this situation. An educated response is when a person can answer a question based on their experience/knowledge of the topic. In this case, I would just ignore the person.
