I wanted to be a professor but now I feel that maybe it is not the right field for me. I am a way more adventurous person than that and i was wondering if anyone knew what exciting fields there are in Education other than teaching. I have already taken all my Education courses as well as my core classes

  2. Teaching can be a great adventure!!

What is YOUR definition of "adventurous and exciting"?  Once you have that, you can start looking at what you want to do.

I had one instructor who went to China every couple of years, with his class.

It's hard to answer this question without knowing specifics about you and your interests.  My suggestion would be to go to a career counselor on campus.

  3. Fortunately there are a lot of industries that you can go into that will be good for a person with a degree in education.

If you want to work with adults and/or children there's always computer education, intervention, literacy, applied technology, art, TESOL, phys. ed, science/math, you can also go into non profit management, some businesses use teachers as trainers, etc.  Look around a good career counselor can help since you know the field you want to go into.

If just children and you want another degree there's counseling, Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech language pathology, athletics, medicine, technical writing, etc.

There are also some business that like to work with teachers as admins or managers, also you can give speeches on "how to live your best life!" (stuff like that), sales is always good for former teachers, etc. Work from Home! The sky's the limit!

    Good luck!
