  1. in the phils youd be a junior in high school. or if you're willing to take advanced placement test (in private schools) you could be a senior.

  2. You will have more validity if you finish your high school studies there in Canada first before going to the Philippines to study for college.. This way, you will have a more solid foundation. I'm not sure about being concentrated more in school in the Philippines especially coming from Canada just because there are more things to do and more tempting vices as well as the value of your parent's money can go a long way. I think that you wanted to feel more at home and to be able to enjoy school better other than the academic part.. I hope that you are not failing or having low grades there in Canada because if you are, you will have a hard time keeping up in the Philippines not only because of the rigorous assignments and exams and tremendous memorizations needed but also because of the conditions and student to teacher ratio..

Finish your high school in Canada first before deciding because your mind might change for the opportunities available in Canada or at least, you will have more knowledge and will be able to keep up with the studies there.. Math and Science as well as English subjects tend to be rigorous, if not harder in the Philippines (proof are the world champions in Math and Science Olympiads are Filipinos).

  3. Why? you'll just be going backwards, you just finish it in Canada.

  4. So now you're in grade 11 right? You would be in third year high school. But you still have to consider your assessment test and such :)

I'd recommend that you finish High school in Canada! High school in the Philippines don't have electives and stuff like that, Education in the Philippines is much more advanced than the one in Canada( they have teach you unnecessary subjects that you won't need in the future, making it harder, you don't have a choice either) . Another reason to finish high school in Canada is that schools in the Philippines have already started (June) and ends in March. You would have a hard time catching up if that's the case... If you had to wait for another year, you would be in grade 12 ( 4th year high school) You would have a hard time getting into college/ university. ( applications etc.)

Best of luck! I miss the Philippines too..

  5. it would be best if you get to finish High School Level in Canada if you still can before you head up for a degree in the Philippines -- depending on the school you'll be choosing for college, studying in the Philippines can't be (that) backward to some other foreign countries...

  6. Same, I miss Philippines. Except I'm here in America.

Well, I don't know if Canada has middle school/intermediate school. But I'm assuming there is. There's NO middle school in the Philippines!

So, if you were in the Philippines, and you were going to "7th Grade" that would be first year high-school! So, basically, you'd be heading off to college! :D Wow, unless you're gonna try to go back to high-school. Because honestly, the things they teach in Kindergarten in the Philippines is 1st to 2nd grade level! So, you might want to keep up with the Philippines' level. Hope I helped!

  7. Primary education in Philippines only goes 10 years.  So by your equivalent, after 10th grade its off to college there.  However, unless you attend a really good university its not worth much.
