Education in america?

I live in australia and my ex. lives in america and has dual citizenship. If my son wishes to study there what assistance is available to help with this. In australia they receive youth allowance at 16 and this continues until 25 if they are studying.

  1. Sorry, in most cases in the U.S. you pay for your own kids. We don't have an "education" allowance (except for some Social Security recipients).

    Unless your husband applies for welfare, your son is eligible for no benefits at all while in high school (school is basically free however). When it's time for college, he may be eligible for scholarships and/or financial aid.
