Edvald Boasson Hagen wins the GP Ouest France-Plouay 2012
Edvald Boasson Hagen of Team Sky Procycling filled his bag with yet another victory after winning the GP Ouest France-Plouay 2012.
He took a total time of 5 hours, 55 minutes and 28 seconds and occupied the top podium position with Rui Alberto Faria Da Costa of Team Movistar finishing 5 seconds behind at the second spot.
Heinrich Haussler of Team Garmin-Sharp, Matthew Harley Goss of Team Orica-GreenEdge and Jurgen Roelandts of Team Lotto Belisol occupied the third, the fourth and the fifth positions in the respective order.
"I'm really happy with that and it was nice to get the win today. The team did a really good job to keep me up there all day and heading into the finish," Boasson Hagen said on TeamSky.com.
"I was riding a lot in the bunch with Thomas and Christian who helped me out a lot. I felt good when I jumped clear and I felt confident that I could take the win”.
"The whole team did lots of pulling on the front during the day so it was great to be able to finish it off,” he concluded.
 The 25-year-old is having a terrific season with several victories in his bag in the earlier part of the season.
He claimed the seventh overall position at the Santos Tour Down Under and also succeeded at the sprint classifications at the race.
Hagen also bagged stages at the Criterium du Dauphine, Tirreno-Adriatico, Glava Tour of Norway and also secured the first position at the Gp Ouest-France 2012.
