what are the dates covered by each volumes? At the very least which volume deals with the events of Adrianople in 378 AD to the fall of Rome in 476AD.

  1. That's in chapters 33-37.

    there is a Penguin Classic edition that has everything all together in one small, thick paperback.  I recommend that one.
