The Biancazzurri manager is confident that the former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 star will be a hit at Loftus Road.
Lazio manager, Edy Reja, has wished striker, Djibril Cisse, luck at his new club, Queens Park http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Rangers-c40314.
Cisse joined the English Premier League outfit on the last day of the January transfer window for approximately 5 million Euros. The Frenchman joined http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 from Panathinaikos in the summer transfer window, but could not adjust
to the conditions in Serie A.
The former Olympique Marseille star managed to score only five goals in 25 matches played in the Biancazzurri colours.
Reja is confident that the striker will have a better time in England, and backs him to score 10-15 goals before the season ends. The tactician admitted that he had excellent relationship with Cisse, and he is confident that he
will be a big hit at his new club. Reja is confident that the striker’s displays at Loftus Road will earn him a place in the French national team squad for the upcoming Euro 2012.
While talking to the reporters, Reja said,
“I had an extraordinary relationship with him. He’ll find more space in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Italy-c2926. He’ll score 10 to 15 goals in England. He’ll have six months to try to make it into France’s Euro 2012 squad.”
On the other hand, Cisse has also expressed his delight at the move to QPR, and has thanked the Hoops manager, Mark Hughes, for trusting him. He revealed that Hughes wanted to sign him when he was in charge of Manchester City,
but unfortunately a deal did not go through.
“QPR have a hugely ambitious project. When I talked to manager Mark Hughes, he spoke highly of the club and where he wants to take it over the next few years. He wanted to sign me at Manchester City and now I am finally here with
him at QPR. He wants to achieve big things here – that was all I needed to hear from him.” Cisse said
Cisse is accustomed to the Premier League conditions, as he has previously played for Liverpool and Sunderland too.
