Edy Reja hoped to win against A.C Milan and all-praise for Klose and Cisse: Serie A news
Lazio manager, Edy Reja, expected his team to win the opening game of the 2011/12 Serie A season against Italian Champions, A.C Milan.
The Biancazzurri squandered a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at the San Siro on September 9th, 2011. Reja is all-praise for his team but has asked for improvement in the games to come. The manager believes that his team deserved
to win the game as they had dominated in the opening half hour of the match. The tactician is ruing the mistakes made after taking a two-goal lead but also praised Milan for making a strong comeback to draw the game.
“I had hoped to return home with a victory. We dominated the field in the first portion of the game, but then didn't always play as we did in that opening first half hour, missing the same movement and possession.”
“We did play well both tactically and technically, but Milan had us on the ropes when we no longer had the strength to reply. At San Siro, there may have been these problems, but the team has always responded well.”
