While conceding that the win against Cagliari was not one of their better performances of the season, Reja remarked that the result
was all that mattered to him.
Lazio were en route to another draw in the Serie A against Cagliari, but a late Modibo Diakite header secured the three points for Reja’s men.
Despite their lacklustre performance, the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Lazio-c39775 head coach remarked that the three points were all that mattered at the end of the day. He was not pleased with the performance put in by his men.
He was thankful for the finishing of Diakite, who enabled them to leapfrog Udinese into the third place of the Serie A standings. He was quoted
to have said:
“We were not in a happy moment and we had to win against Cagliari. It wasn’t a pretty game, but the performance did not matter. Fortunately, Diakite
has removed us from trouble.”
The former Napoli manager has been lauded for his utilisation of the squad, given the limited squad he has had at his disposal. Reja was also
banned from the touchline and had to watch the match from the stands. He remarked that there was a lot of anxiety during the match as he was not able to interact with his players as such; however, he reserved special praise for his assistant.

He was being interviewed on Lazio Style Radio, and commented:
“I was away from the pitch, so I suffered a lot ... I think [assistant Coach Giovanni] Lopez has done his duty by winning an important game and
providing a fundamental base for the players.”

of their victory. The former Cagliari boss acknowledged that he was not aware about the draw between Napoli and Catania, and remarked:

With nine games remaining in the Serie A, the side with the greatest momentum will secure the third-place.
