The Finnish opened the game in impressive fashion and quickly reached at 11-7, at the end of the first-half of the match. Nikolay was struggling to find momentum and made many mistakes by hitting the bird wide of the side-lines. After the break, Eetu maintained
the difference by playing a top class game and finished the set in just 15 minutes, with a one-sided margin of 21-14.
In the following set, both shuttlers kept the pace of the game high and were tied at 12-12. It was a wonderful fight where nobody could manage to take a comfortable lead. The score progressed slowly and reached at 18-18, where Nikolay played some fascinating

In the deciding set, both players remained toe-to-toe and reached at 20-20, where Eetu played better strokes and won the final set by a 22-20 margin, in 20 minutes.
In the other quarter-final match, Jen Hao remained dominant by sparing no chance for Fabian to control the game. The Second seed put up a brilliant show, proving that he belongs to the elite class of the game. He won the first set in just 15 minutes, by
a 21-17 margin.
In the second set, Fabian tried to dominate the game, but failed as his opponent was playing with more confidence. Jen Hao took only 12 minutes to crush the German in the second set by a big margin of 21-13.
The win sets up an interesting semi-final clash, which is sure to see some top-class play from both players.
