Effective ways to get rid of spots?!?

Even though I started puberty about a year and a half ago I never got spots. Over the last two weeks though I've had a breakthrough of spots and it's not even near my period, I have tried cleansing, exfoliating anf mosturising to keep my skin clean but nothing works. I wake up and I found loads more spots! Is there any good facemask's that I can make at home to get rid of spots? Any things I should eat/ any creams or methods I should use?

Please help, i'm starting school in a day and a half and want to get rid of my spots!

thanks

  1. If by spots, you mean sun spots, you could use a cream with hydroquinone.  Always use a sunscreen.

But you should see a dermatologist.

    check out this article:

  2. I feel your pain - trust me!

What kind of spots do you have - are they the red, painful "blind" ones, or the smaller ones?

Unfortunately, they're not going to disappear in a day or 2, BUT, you should look out for skin washes/spot gels/creams with Salicylic Acid in it. It helps get into the pore and exfoliate on a deeper level to try and dry the spot out. Try not to scrub your skin hard, as this could cause breakouts to flare up, or take longer to heal.

Please don't squeeze your spots - and if you absolutely have to, and have done in the past, please make sure you've washed your skin with warm water, to open the pores up more, that your fingers and nails are clean, and covered with tissue, to reduce the pressure on your skin. If a couple of gentle squeezes don't do the trick, leave it alone, as it's possible the root of the problem is a bit deep, and further squeezing and pressure on the skin will only damage it, and cause scarring which will look worse than a few spots (trust me, I've had them all!)

Also, try not touching your face during the day, as your fingers pick up all kinds of nasty bacteria, and the more you play with your skin, the more likely it is to getting infected.

Oh, and keep drinking plenty of water, change your pillowcases regularly, as they can also harbour bacteria from your hair everyday, and your face rests on your pillow for most of the night.

Lastly, wash your face twice a day and gently exfoliate 2 - 3 times a week, depending on your skin type and sensitivity.

    Please don't stress.... :)

  3. Try Zenmed's Derma Cleanse Acne Gel, it is a one unique formula for treating spots quickly without causing much scars after the spots have gone. The product is completely herbal and hence suits any type of skin without causing any type of skin reaction. The gel also helps to unclog pores by removing excess oil, dirt and bacteria thereby accelerating the healing process of spots. Try it, the results are amazing.
