Efistorm expected to win Skybet.com Claiming Stakes
Efistorm is expected to prevail in the Skybet.com Claiming Stakes at Windsor in England on Monday, May 21, 2012. A cash prize of £2,264 will be awarded to the winner of the class-5 event.
The going will be good in the 6 furlong race, which is scheduled to start at 18:10 GMT. A total of nine runners were attracted towards the event and their names are: Falasteen, Efistorm, Scarlet Rocks, Julius Geezer, Polar Annie, Speedy Yaki, Highland Harvest,
Doctor Hilary and Durgan.
Out of the above mentioned participants, Doctor Hilary might not be able to take part in the race. The veteran gelding could have made a strong impact in the race, as he has the experience of 58 races.
However, the best chances of winning are with Efistorm, who is a seasoned runner and has been performing well over the past few events. Looking at his experience, the punters might also risk the maximum number of bets in his favour.
The 11-year-old gelding has participated in 122 races, winning 23 of them and finishing runner up on 12 occasions. Moreover, he has also secured the third place on nine times, which shows that he is quite capable of fighting for victories.
Importantly, the Conor Dore’s trainee was brilliant in his most recent run, as he finished on top of the table in it. He was not rated favourite back then, but still surprised one and all with his skills. A similar sort of performance will ensure him another
victory today.
Hayley Turner will be the one partnering Efistorm in today’s race. He has enjoyed a lot of success at this level, but does not have a good strike rate at all. He will be looking forward to a strong show at Windsor.
On the other hand, Falasteen might also manage to fight for victory in the race. However, his recent form is not good, which will discourage the punters from risking money on him. He finished 14th in his most recent outing, which shows that he
lacks the winning rhythm.
Overall, the five-year-old gelding has participated in 32 races, winning five of them. In addition to that, he has also secured the runner up spot four times whereas finished third once.
