Efrain Escudero returns to UFC; claims last 14 months were h**l – UFC News

For the 25-year-old Mexican mixed martial art (MMA) fighter Efrain Escudero, his life has been a roller coaster ride over the past year. Escudero himself has given the statement that the last thirteen to fourteen months have been h**l for him. He gave this
statement on December 28, 2011 while talking to the media. He was released from the UFC but now he is set to make his return to the promotion at UFC 141.

Escudero made his MMA debut in June 2006 and was unbeaten for twelve straight fights. At The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) in December 2008, he won TUF Lightweight fight by beating Phillipe Nover.  He competed in five matches with the UFC and won only 3. His loss
against Charles Oliveira at UFC Fight Night in September 2010 was an event he would like to forget.

He not only failed to make proper weight in the catchweight category but he also ended up losing the fight. With two huge blows in the same night and also losing his second fight with the promotion, the UFC management had no option but to release him. This
was a moment when nothing was going his way. Being a TUF 8 winner, this was a shocking incident as all eyes were focused on what had gone wrong with his career.

Escudero will now be making his return back into the promotion, where he is all set to fight against American MMA fighter Jacob Volkmann at UFC 141. After leaving UFC and then coming back into the promotion, Escudero has been thankful to the UFC management
for giving him one more chance to prove his worth inside the octagon fighting cage.

According to reports, Escudero has come back on track not as a professional MMA fighter but also as a human being. While he was out from the UFC, he had the time to think about his future and plan things accordingly. Escudero, himself, has claimed that leaving
the promotion and pondering on life has really changed his perception. He has been training hard and keeping himself in top physical shape for he knows UFC 141 is the event when he will get a second leash on making an impact in the promotion.
