Egg replacer for cake?

I need to replace four eggs in a cake recipe. anything i can use besides commercial egg replacements or applesauce? thanks!

My mother and I use mayonnaise, miracle whip-anything like that. It is amazing! The cakes come out super moist and tasty!

Flax Egg

1 Tbsp. ground flax seeds + 3 Tbsp water (or other liquid) = 1 egg

whenever i make a cake, I replace eggs with milk. The mixture has to be thick though. If its too runny the cake will fall apart.

1/4 cup mashed banana for each egg, so in your cake you would use 1 cup mashed banana.

My sister in law and I have had very good luck with corn starch.. I use it instead of eggs when making the "box" cakes (you know.. the cake-in-a-box by Betty Crocker, where all you have to do is add oil and eggs?)  

To replace four eggs, I'd use 6 T Cornstarch and about 6 T of extra water.

Yes, most vegan recipes just use water and a little oil instead of butter. Go to vegansociety.com for some great recipes. (I realise you didn't ask for vegan, just egg-free, but that's the best place to find what you need.)

this sounds werid but avacado its what south beach uses in their cookies you can also use good ole fashoned toufu the soft kind

Well, I use lemon juice to make Yorkshire Puddings - and they turn out great.  Use self-raising flour.

Maybe, also add a little bicarbonate of soda with some baking soda. Level tea spoon of each.
