oral s*x for teen agers ? that what you really want to know and learn about Egypt ?

  3. According to Children's Law, No12. 1996 : Egypt.

The age of majority is 21 years.

The age for consensual s*x is 18 years.

The age for marriage is 16 years.

The age determination applies to both sexes.

You are right we cannot live in denial that just because Egyptians are predominately from backgrounds with very high moral standards ie  Muslim and Coptic, that there is no sexual experimenting carried out by teenagers and adolescents.

To pretend otherwise would be as naive as we think the kids of today are.

Just watch music videos, they are nothing but sugarcoated soft p**n with a beat.

s*x sells, teenagers are just curious to know what all the fuss is about. Its just as true here as it is in the West, all young people have raging hormones that just part of going up..

I remember last year in Cairo noticing a rather well built young girl in a very tight black T shirt  with "I'm So s**y " written in silver, she was also wearing hajib.

I've always wondered did her Mum see her walk out the door with that on!

I am sure many parents would be totally shocked if they knew what young Amira and Ayman were really up to .

Because I've seen very respectable young kids in Luxor on hot summer nights sitting huddled together on the grass and I've heard the giggles of half protest.

I am not condoning or judging, I am just saying we have to be realistic youth in 2008 and realise that todays 13 is 1998's 18.

Education and maintaining open dialogue with your kids is far healthier and less risky than outmoded denial that it wouldnt happen in our family..
