Can anyone suggest the best resort to stay in Egypt? We are a family of 5 (4 adults and 1 child) and are looking for a beach holiday that is really relaxing, with things to look around and see. We are going in august. We were thinking Sharm el sheikh. Also can anyone suggest good hotels to stay in also good websites to check to get great deals on holidays?

  1. I would of thought that Egypt is going to be far too hot for a travelling family to go to... the temps would surprise me if they get into the high 40s.. far to hot for kids.

Why don't you try something more European like the Balerics or greek islands?

I booked for Egypt but not until November when i know that the weather will still be lovely but at least not too hot.

  2. try these:

    Soma Bay:

    Taba:

    www.tabaheights.com

    Gouna:

    www.elgouna.com

    Port Ghalib:

  3. well welcome to egypt first and i know will enjoy your stay about suggestions sharm will be too hot in august so i suggest the north coast it will be better cause sharm is better in winter about offers i know that tour company personally thats one of the biggest tour company in Egypt it called blue sky and all the details in the link below

    enjoy your stay

  4. The Ritz Carlton at Sharm el Sheikh is pretty amazing. This is the website: http://www.ritzcarlton.com/en/Properties...

The Movenpick and Hilton there aren't bad either.

I really don't think it gets better than the Ritz Carlton though. It all depends what you like. At night you can walk around in Na3ma bay which is a very lively area with lots of cafes and shops.

El Gouna is really, really nice also. It's got lagoons and at night you can walk around the Marina which always has shows and nice places to eat.

Have a great time in Egypt whatever you decide!

  5. Sharm would be hot in August.

you can go to Marina , insead .

it is on the north coast where it is cool .there are hotels in

    Marina

it is on the Mediterranean .

it is a summer resort .

  6. A complete waste of time, unless you are Scuba Divers, it's all geared up for diving, and Hurghada, is the same.

Casino, Hotel, Shopping Mall,Casino, Hotel, Shopping Mall.

Across the road the desert, and the inevitable building site, which might just be a Casino, or perhaps a Hotel, or maybe even a Shopping Mall.

  7. Hi there, Sharm is a great place, but in August it will be extremely hot. That must be the worst time to visit Egypt for heat, especially for children.

Sharm is also good because you can see and do many things in and around the area. I don't know how old your child is, but in Sharm area you can dive, snorkel, scuba, boat rides, quad bikes, beautiful beaches, fishing, see coral, visit the desert, jeep rides into the desert, climb into canyons (the red canyon), camel rides into the desert - the list of available activities is very long. But much of the desert activities will be too hot for a child in August.

The Naama Bay area of Sharm is so lovely, and I can recommend the Hilton Sharm Dreams, and the Sofitel - recommendations from my tour guide friend. One I can recommend from personal experience is the Iberotel just 2km from the city centre of Sharm and with its own private beach, beautiful swimming pool, excellent food, clean comfortable rooms and very helpful staff.

    Have a wonderful time.

    :)

There are many websites where you can see rates for hotels in Sharm - or any other resort in Egypt. Here is one to begin with:-

  8. The best place in sinai to go is sharm el sheikh, there is more to do and better beaches, if you go to nuweiba or taba although very beautiful you will be restricted to the hotel as there is nothing outside, you could also try Hurghada I havent been myself but i have friends who have worked there and its not too different from sharm, when you book a hotel try to be as near as you can to Naama bay, dont go to Haddaba as you will be too far away from the centre and you will get ripped off on the taxi fares daily, the Marriot or Movenpick, or novotel are in naama bay and have their own private beaches there is also the sonest or 2 hiltons, hope you enjoy
