Egyptian dessert?

Okay an Egyptian friend of mine was talking about his deceased grandmother and how she made this delicious dessert for them on the weekends. It had whole, small strawberries and homemade cream in layers. I want to say that there was pineapple in it, too, but I'm not certain of that. I've tried looking the recipe up, with no luck. His birthday is coming up in a few weeks so I thought it might be a nice surprise.. if the recipe can be located.

Strawberries & cream is traditionally British so I think this recipe may be influenced by former British rule but check out this website:
