Egyptian men how would you interpret this quote by our Prophet Mohamed pbuh?

It's by our Prophet Mohamed (pbuh) " El nesa2 nakessat 3akl wa deen".

Now only serious answers pls.

Pls elaborate on your answer and kindly consider this ... would Allah swt create sthg that is lacking in one aspect or the other or is it that swt created everything to fulfill its role in life, which in turn means that we are all different.

Another point would our prophet (pbuh) who in our holy quran was stated by Allah swt to have the best approach and manners through Quran, mock or make fun of women who are Allah's creation by this statement.

Finally pls, what do you feel as men who use this quote in the most humiliating and demeaning way to women who if only thy thought for a second are their mothers, sisters, wives and daughter.

Wasn't his last words (pbuh) refkan bel qwarir, that is take care of women (his dying last wish) ?

Honestly i feel pity for anyone who doesn't understand their religion well yet quotes it in a degrading manner.

Thank u for yr answers in advance.

  1. i don't know, that would leave us with doubting the statement said by him? i personally prefer that approach..

  2. women have their period .

they suffer from some disturbance in the flow of hormones in their blood streams .

this affects their emotions and moods .

it prevents them from praying and fasting .

so, they are naqesaat 3aql and deen for this biological  phenomenon.

but it is this phenomenon that enables them to bear children and breast feed them .

men cannot compete with them in this .

God has created both men and women to complete each other and fill the world with humans to worship Him.

  3. Ya Amar as you know there is some very sick and sexually frustrated men that are coming into this section lately and sending dirty or rude answers and questions to the private messages of females- I cant understand how they find this sexually appealing or even slightly ok to do this.

These guys don't know the meaning of anything in our religion because they don't even know what is respect for the mothers and sisters- so when they or anyone else abuse the meanings of ayats or hadiths don't even think about-

for these people have little knowledge to share with us, as it seems they didn't gain knowledge from parents or for themselves. Its their loss if they want to live in the world with such a sickness.

There are always good people in this section that know about religion that don't twist something in Islam about the nature of women into something that means something oppressive.

Yes women have things like periods and it can not be denied that our minds suffer at these times but this is also why we get back as women the blessing of Allah swt because we suffer for males for example in Child Birth. I feel sorry for any woman that would raise a son to be so disrespectful to his religion and to women. God bless all mothers

  4. A lot of people, especially men, seem to misunderstand the meaning of this quote and use it to make fun of women. I will tell u the true meaning of this quote based on my humble knowledge. Women were referred to as "naqisat 3akl" because "shihadat ragol be  imra2atyen" which means that 2 women are needed to fullfil the place of 1 man as being a witness on something. "وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَهِيدَيْنِ مِنْ رِجَالِكُمْ فَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُونَا رَجُلَيْنِ فَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَأَتَانِ مِمَّنْ تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَاءِ أَنْ تَضِلَّ إِحْدَاهُمَا فَتُذَكِّرَ إِحْدَاهُمَا الْأُخْرَى"

The reason is not literarly because women have a small mind or are stupid in anyway, but is because they tend to be a lot more emotional than men and most of the times their feelings and heart will beat their minds.   A simple example is that when a woman is a judge she might not be able to make a fair judgement when a theif or a criminal comes to her with his kids crying for their father, her emotions might be moved and she will make her judgement as a mom or a daughter but not as a judge as her emotions will be in control over her mind.

As for the explanation for "naqisat deen" it is basically because of menustrational cycle that every woman has to go through monthly and that's Allah's order on all women, thus they stay away from praying and reading Quraan and not fast the whole month of Ramadan which makes their 3ibadat incomplete and that is where the "naqs" comes from. I hope that explains it and hope people will stop making ignorant remarks abt this. glad u brought this subject up as it is an important issue

  5. 1st , abt this guy who told u so, i saw his question , and i answered him , and it was deleted ,

    2nd abt ur question,

I will not comment alot abt this, but let me tell u that , the difference between a man and a woman rather than the physical or biological issues, is that men are having more experience than women , that's bcoz they get deep into life experiences more than women,

But i think , if u bring a guy and a girl and let them do the same, educated the same way , ...etc, they will be the same,

But , Men can easily learn stuff which will be hard for women to learn , and vice versa, for example, in technical issues , men is better, and in communicating or designing issues, women is better , but also this is not all the time, it depends on the person (himself or herself),

I agree with AA answer also, abt the Hadeeth,

My father always say this hadeeth to show that men is better , but i told him b4 , its not that way , its bcoz of the (period & feelings or empathy),

Hope, ignore the trolls, after all , they are trolls,

  6. I wonder why only Egyptian are allowed to answer. I hope others can answer. I will say my opinion if you allow me madam.

I totally agree with you. even some may say its proven that the biology of the brain may differ, I think not all parts of the brain are responsible for the thinking process. so having a bigger brain doesn't always necessarily mean being smarter, since some part of the brain are responsible for heart beating, lungs ... whatever.

in my opinion, the human is a product of: education, parenting, experience, genes, environment, ... and the saying that one gender is superior to the other in one aspect is not accurate and not comprehensive.

and I think in my opinion people who exploit such quote are kinda loser in seeing the truth. why did they forget the quote "he did what his wife do, and when it was the prayer time, he went to prayer" I bet some don't do that: washing, cleaning, cooking, ..... and they left it to the their spouse. so they are kinda selective in what they consider.

  7. I don't see any misunderstanding here in this Hadith; the message is very clear from our Prophet PBUH.

It's an advice to women in general not to use their outstanding emotional power in driving men out of their sanity.

No one can deny how a woman can put a huge emotional stress on her husband, which is against one of her responsibility which Allah has created her for as being a stress reliever and emotional barrier to her family.

    Ar-Rum (The Romans) [30:21]

30:21 And among His Signs is this, that He created for you mates from among yourselves, that ye may dwell in tranquillity with them, and He has put love and mercy between your (hearts): verily in that are Signs for those who reflect.

and regarding the part that say Naqesat 3aql wa deen, It doesn't confuse me at all, as there are 2 facts here that there are many women who are much smarter than me, and many others who are more religious than me.

and it's easy to prove this just make any Google search about the contribution of women in science and inventions and you will know how many smarter women are there, also in our religion we know that Aisha was one of the greatest hadith narrator and many others like her.

And we also know from quran and Sunnah that their are four women who reached perfection, Meriam, Asia, Fatima, and khadija, how can ther reach perfection if they have anything missing in their mentality or religion.

This statement was referenced in this Hadith to stress on the fact that women and men have differences in their physical and psychological nature, and our religion always take this difference into consideration, this difference is a benefit to the humanity and it is by noway a disgrace to women.

    An-Nisa (The Women) [4:32]

Wala tatamannaw ma faddala Allahu bihi baAAdakum AAala baAAdin lilrrijali naseebun mimma iktasaboo walilnnisai naseebun mimma iktasabna waisaloo Allaha min fadlihi inna Allaha kana bikulli shayin AAaleeman

4:32 And in no wise covet those things in which Allah Hath bestowed His gifts More freely on some of you than on others: To men is allotted what they earn, and to women what they earn: But ask Allah of His bounty. For Allah hath full knowledge of all things.
